Privacy Policy — NaviMate Controller
Last updated: August 22, 2026
NaviMate Controller does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
Accessibility Service
NaviMate Controller uses Android's Accessibility Service for two purposes:
- Receiving input from the NaviMate hardware controller. Key events from the controller are delivered to the foreground application, so the service uses
flagRequestFilterKeyEventsto receive controller button presses while a map application is in the foreground. - Reading the on-screen position of user interface elements. For example, the service reads the screen coordinates of the map application's route overview button so that the NaviMate hardware knows where to send its input.
Screen content read by the accessibility service is used only in memory, at the moment of the button press, to compute a screen coordinate. It is never stored, logged, or transmitted off the device.
The app does not perform touches or gestures. All input is generated by the physical NaviMate controller as standard HID reports.
USB communication
The app sends screen coordinates to the connected NaviMate device over USB. No other data is transmitted.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
